Albums
Toto's discography comprises 13 studio albums and four live albums. There are also compilations. Toto has released original music and collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. The band has won multiple Grammy Awards for their work.
Before Toto was formed, members of the band played session work for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate, and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session drummer Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs' 1975 album Silk Degrees. Toto was formed in the year 1976 following the collaboration.
Turn Back, Toto's third studio album was criticized by critics due to lacking hit singles. In 1985 the group's singer Fergie Frederiksen resigned from the group, and the group held auditions for the new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the band recorded the album Fahrenheit in 1986.
In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by re-discovering old demos and tapes to release a special album called Toto XX. The album was well-received by fans and Toto embarked on the tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
While touring for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun the drummer Leland Sklar quit the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In 2017, Toto released the double-CD set Falling in Between. It included live recordings from the tour and also an interview with the group.

Leland Sklar was his replacement.
